Mentor

The Student Apprenticeship Program was created to expose young persons to a career in skilled trades while aiding the restoration of period aircraft.

OUR MISSION

Founded in 2013, the Warbirds of Glory Museum was formed to restore and fly period aircraft and offer the unique educational opportunity to understand the Second World War experience while mentoring youth in mechanical skills, aircraft restoration and American values.

STUDENT APPRENTICESHIP

We teach students with a hands-on learning approach in the aviation, manufacturing and engineering sectors by working on actual vintage aircraft.

The apprenticeship students have greatly benefitted from the skills learned here and have gone on to receive higher education in aerospace engineering, aviation maintenance, flight, A&P mechanics, aviation business and the U.S. Air Force.

The Sandbar Mitchell restoration is the local project for our student apprentices. When fully restored, the Sandbar Mitchell will be one of the most historically accurate B-25s in flight.

Read more about the Sandbar Mitchell's recovery and restoration.
